Fasteners: Ceramic high temperature wire-nut fasteners are used to splice various quantities and sizes of wire to maintain a stable, permanent(or temorary) connection. The fasteners are made in a veriety of size compatible with electrical industry standards for connectors; i.e. different numbers of wires may be spliced with a given size connector depending upon their wire sizes.
Connectors: made by Curran-Pfeiff are rated for application up to 300 volts AC/DC and have been used for temperatures from below freezing to temperatures in excess of 1800 degrees Fahrenhelt.
The inside of the wire-nut connectors is tapered to enhance the insertion of conductors into an internal right-hand threaded section which aids in twisting the conductor wire to make a good electrical and mechanical connection. The external surface of the connectors are supplied with ribs to ribs to aid the installer in accomplishing a satiisfactory splice.
